The Bosak Funeral Home is a fourth generation, local and family-owned business. We take pride in the traditions of our ancestors. We are dedicated to delivering a personalized, compassionate, and quality funeral service with the same traditions that have been shared by our family across the generations for nearly 100 years.
The original Bosak Funeral Home was a store front opened in 1919 by Frank J. Bosak Sr. on South Pacific Street in the historical South End of Stamford. A short time later, he purchased the house and property of 641 Atlantic Street from Stanley Dejewski and transformed it into the first Bosak Funeral Home.
Being that our focus is on traditional service, we have also worked hard to expand our services in the realm of personal attention. We have established an in-house monument division and flower shop, creating living tributes videos, as well as creating themed wakes to celebrate the individual by commemorating their life.
The Bosak family has spear headed a collaborative effort with local community organizations such as Veterans Groups, Seniors Groups, Hospice Care and grief counseling groups to develop an outreach program for the purpose of educating them about funeral arrangement options, various insurance policy benefits, and estate planning.
The program includes conducting the workshop in Spanish for the Hispanic community, as well as special Veterans presentations regarding Veteran’s benefits.
Our family understands the importance of giving back to the community that has always embraced us. Aside from having a long history in the public service field, the Frank J. Bosak Learning Academy was created in 2000, to advocate, promote, and facilitate the success of literacy in a multi-cultural community across the Greater Stamford area. This non-profit organization collaborates with a host of other Stamford-area organizations with the hopes of continued advocacy for the underserved immigrant population as well as the underemployed.
In addition to creating the Monument Division and expanding client services for the funeral home, the Bosak family has worked to add a larger outreach component which is now a cornerstone of Bosak Funeral Home’s commitment to serving the greater community.
