If beveled, it includes a flat surface with a slight bevel from front to back.Slant Markers look triangular from the side, are slanted and sit above the ground. These can be designed with or without bases.Specialty Monuments can be designed in the shapes of rugged rock, hearts, shamrocks, crosses, benches and other custom shapes as well as crypts and mausoleums.

Symbols of Love & Respect

Symbols of Love & Respect

Choosing an inscription for your loved one’s monument may be difficult. For as long as people have lived, inscriptions have been engraved on monuments. The practice may differ between cultures, religions and countries however, the reason is the same – to honor the deceased.Selecting the quote that’s best for your loved one’s memorial is not easy because it is often limited to space and it remains for eternity. Inscriptions typically include the person’s name, date of birth and date of death of the grave it marks. The memorial will also often include a personalized piece of text such as a family message or short phrase, while others place quotations from poems, Bible verses, prayers, their favorite books or movies. Some also use quotes that come from the deceased; while others choose quotes that describe the life they lived and left behind. Not every monument has a quote inscribed on it, but the ones that do, show much love and respect.

Stella was the recipient of the 2003 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the State of Connecticut, an appointed Commissioner of the Charter Oak Communities (aka Stamford Housing Authority) since 2004 and the Treasurer of three citywide elections for the City of Stamford, Board of Finance races, in 2009 and 2013 and Board of Education race in 2015.

Stella has been a successful small business owner for seventeen years and owes much of her success to her years of hospitality training and experience working for the Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotel companies.  She started working with the Bosak family in 2001 and founded the first of several start-ups, Bosak Monuments, the monument division of the family-owned funeral home, which is focused on the design and creation of cemetery and civic monuments.  In 2002, the family business acquired a monument company (Willow Monument Works) in Bridgeport that had been in existence since 1929.  During this time, Stella focused her efforts streamlining their businesses and as a result, the business shifted their focus to establishing a service model to create a hospitable experience for all the families they serve. Service is now part of the family brand and it is applied throughout all of the family-owned businesses.
