Angel Ramos Born in Alausí, Ecuador, in February 1939, Angel Ramos was the beloved son of the late Eloy and Dorinda Ramos. He peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT. A retired math teacher, Angel relocated to the United States to be alongside his beloved wife. In his new home, he immersed himself in the arts, writing and reciting poetry within the Hispanic cultural community. His main focus was accompanying his wife and children. He encouraged his children to seek a meaningful connection with their faith. Angel will be remembered for his warmth, perseverance, and bohemian spirit, which drew people in with his humor and kindness. Despite facing childhood disabilities, he overcame life’s challenges with resilience and an unwaveringly positive outlook. His artistic talents were reflected in his poetry and his creative works, including beautifully designed book covers, pamphlets, and greeting cards—each piece a testament to his artistry and passion. He is survived by his devoted wife, Edelmira, and their children: Jadira, Roosevelt, Teddy, and Marcela. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren—Carlos, Brittany, Melanie, Micaela, Emily, and Camilla—along with his siblings Jamie, Margot, Eloy, and Marta. A host of extended family members and close friends will forever hold him in their hearts, cherishing the joy and inspiration he brought into their lives. A visitation and prayer services will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 4pm – 8pm (with prayer service at 7pm) at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT.
