Candice Raechell Logan

Candice Raechell Logan, affectionately known as "Candy," departed this life peacefully with family by her side at the age of 65 on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. She was born on March 1, 1958, in Stamford, CT, to the late Carl and Charlotte Logan. Candice was raised and educated in Stamford public schools until the age of 13 when her family relocated. She spent her high school years under the loving care of her grandparents, the late Thomas and Cupie Jones Thompson, in Lawrenceville, VA, where she graduated from Brunswick Senior High School in 1975. She furthered her education at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA, graduating with a BA in Political Science in 1979, a testament to her dedication to education. Following her college years, Candice returned to CT and embarked on a successful career at Pitney Bowes in Stamford, where she dedicated 17 years of service. Candice was a woman of diverse interests and passions, including a love for jazz music, avid support for the San Francisco 49ers football team, a penchant for literature, comedy, and photography, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She cherished moments spent with loved ones and enjoyed a good fish fry. Known for her warmth and tenacity, Candice was a survivor, a fighter, and a source of laughter and joy to all who knew her. Although her life journey presented its share of challenges, Candice found beauty and fulfillment along the way. She often spoke proudly of her greatest accomplishments: her daughters, Jewel and Leslie. In 2021, Candice embraced a new role with boundless joy as she welcomed her granddaughter, Zora Lewis, into the world, bringing her life a renewed sense of purpose and happiness. Her daughters, Jewel Candace Logan and Leslie Raechell Logan-Little, along with her granddaughter, Zora Lewis, her sister, Linda Logan, her brother, Carl Logan, her niece, Jillian Britt, and Lester Little Jr., and a multitude of cousins, close friends who became family, and relatives will forever cherish Candice's memory. Her legacy of love, resilience, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Goodbye my family, my life is past.
