Elaine Ferretti

Elaine Ferretti died peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the age of 86. She was born on August 19, 1935 in New Haven, CT to the late William and Mafalada Saccu Blair. Elaine was a long-time resident of Stamford. After graduating Stamford High School in 1954, Elaine began a 65-year career at the FA Bartlett Tree Expert Company, where she rose through the ranks, eventually retiring as the Executive Secretary to the Chairman of the Board. Elaine was a devoted member of St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church, and an active member of its Senior's Group. She enthusiastically participated each year in the St. Leo Christmas Craft Fair, and at the Annual Summer Fair, as a contributor to the baking booth. Elaine and her late husband, Lou, enjoyed traveling with friends and family to Pennsylvania, Las Vegas and Bermuda. Elaine is survived by her sister, Carol Muccio; a brother-in-law, Frank Ferretti; and several nieces and nephews: Beverly Aveni (Mike Areno), Donna Jallouk (Richard), Anthony Aveni (Sandy), Cindi Seipel (Brian), Frank Ferretti, Jr.; and by great-nieces and great-nephews: Anthony Aveni, III, Jessica Jallouk, Matthew Aveni, Alex Seipel, Ashlee Seipel, Jordan Jallouk, Emily Ferretti, and Nicholas Ferretti. Elaine is predeceased by her husband, Louis Ferretti; her parents, William and Mafalada Saccu Blair; her in-laws, Thomas and Jenny Ferretti; her brother-in-law, James Muccio; and her sisters-in-law, Lucille Ferretti Aveni and Carol Ferretti. Visitation will be private. Family welcomes relatives and friends on Friday, January 7th at 11am for a Mass of Christian burial at Saint Leo’s Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, in Stamford. Her burial will be St. John RC Cemetery, in Darien, CT. In compliance with state mandates and the safety of all those attending the services, it is mandatory to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing, while attending all funeral services.
