It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Filandia Soto, who left us on September 11, 2026, after a long and difficult battle with cancer. Filandia came from another country with very little, but through her strength, determination, and unwavering love, she built a beautiful life and created a family filled with love. Along the way, she made countless beautiful memories and formed friendships that touched her life and the lives of those around her. A hardworking and determined woman, Filandia started her own business and worked for herself, always doing her best to provide for her family. Even when she did not have much, she gave everything she could and made sure her children had the very best she was able to offer. Her greatest accomplishment was not what she built for herself, but the loving family she created. She was a devoted mother to her three sons, Allan, Dylan, and Raffy, and a loving wife to her husband, Romeo Ortiz. She taught her sons to be loving, respectful, and honorable men. Through her words, her sacrifices, and the example she set, she instilled values that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Filandia’s battle with cancer was long and painful, but she never stopped fighting. Even when she was suffering, she showed incredible strength and courage. She was a true warrior who fought until the very end. Her strength was a testament to the love she carried for her family and the life she worked so hard to build. To those who knew her, Filandia was more than a mother. She was a sister, a friend, and a source of love and comfort. Her kindness, her sacrifices, her laughter, and the memories she created will forever live in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that her love was endless. Her children and loved ones will carry that love with them for the rest of their lives, always knowing that they were deeply loved. Filandia may no longer be with us in person, but her love, strength, and legacy will live on through her family, her friendships, and every beautiful memory she left behind. Rest peacefully, Mom.
