Lorraine B. Hogan

Lorraine B. Chrostowski Hogan, born June 15,1936 in Stamford, CT, passed away at 88 years old on June 7, 2025, at her home in Stratford, CT. Lorraine was very proud of her Stamford roots where she graduated from Stamford High School, met the love of her life, worked, and raised her family. Though she lived in Stratford for the past 20 years, she always considered Stamford her home. Lorraine was known to put a smile on the face of anyone who had the pleasure of sharing a conversation with her. She will be remembered for her quick wit, the joy she brought to others, the laughs she shared, and the compassion she had for everyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading on her Kindle, doing the crossword, and cheering on the Mets and UConn basketball teams. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Philip J. Hogan, her parents, Charles Chrostowski and Mary Tisko Chrostowski, her siblings, Leonard, Marie Markiewicz (Henry), Dorothy Poltrack (Thomas), and Edmund (Barbara) as well as her mother in-law, Eileen Hogan, siblings-in-law, Mary Hogan Thompson, Michael Murray and Jack Gallagher. Her memory will be carried on by her children: Cynthia Hogan (Daniel Morrissey), Ellen Hogan, Michele Conroy (John), Nancy Hogan (James Wittenberger), and Philip Hogan (Margaret); her grandchildren, John Philip (Melanie) and Briana Morrissey, Abigail and Jack Conroy, Jedrek and Joshua Wittenberger, and Philip, Edmund, and Thomas Hogan; her siblings-in-law, James Hogan (Dawn), Michael Hogan (Eileen), Eileen Hogan, Ann Murray, Kathleen Gallagher, Louise Bluth (Michael), and Theresa Hogan; as well as her many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will take place on Thursday, June 12th, from 4pm and 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home and Cremation, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, June 13th, at St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT, followed by burial at St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
