Margaret DePoli

Margaret Marie “Margie” DePoli (nee Faugno) passed away at home early Sunday morning, August 14, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born to Generoso and Theresa (nee Luciana) on September 29, 1927, in Stamford, CT. She was raised along with her siblings Gene “Sonny” Faugno (Bernice), Carmella “Cookie” Cavaliere, Robert Faugno and Barbara Ann Faugno. Margaret attended Stamford schools and graduated from Stamford High School. After which she married her late husband of 65 years, John A. DePoli. Margaret worked briefly before becoming a mother, homemaker, and caregiver. Margaret not only raised her family, but she also helped raise the next generation, as well as care for the generation before her. She found great joy in her family and friends. Entertaining at home was her forte. Margaret not only excelled with cooking skills. She had the patience to teach everyone that asked how to make her famous “Sunday Gravy with meatballs”. She would invite you into her home to give you a hands-on lesson. The outcome was you brought home a magnificent meal. Margaret loved music and singing. She sang and smiled every day of her life making special memories until the end. Margaret is survived by her two children, Gayle DePoli and Maryann Coppola (Eliseo “Lee”), both of Riverside, CT. Grandchildren, John Coppola (Christa Matson) of Trumbull, CT and Jason Coppola (Christie Roche) of Norwalk, CT. Great-Grandchildren, Tula Belle, Maverick John & Piper Lee of Trumbull, CT. As well as her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews. And her grand-dogs Yoshi, Stella & Macy.
