Margaret P. Fatta

Margaret Patricia Devine Fatta 9/11/36-8/15/23 Margaret P. Fatta of Greenwich, passed away August 15, 2023. She was born in Queens, New York on September 11, 1936 to William and Martha Devine (nee Fitzsimmons). She was always an exceptional student once winning a city-wide writing contest. Margaret graduated from St. John’s Hospital Nurses Training and proudly served as a Registered Nurse for many years. She completed advanced training in Coronary Care in a program that was considered equal to the most sophisticated and advanced units in the country at that time. She valued this as her greatest professional accomplishment and her skills as a nurse were never far from her thoughts. Marge married the love of her life, Frank on February 22, 1960 who she met commuting by train to high school when she was just 15 years old. They enjoyed 65 years together, married 57. In time, she joined her husband Frank in building a successful graphic design firm where her artistic talents and keen business skills were able to be expressed. Marge’s main focus at all times was dedicated to her three children. She was extremely involved in the church and their school communities serving on many boards and committees for St. Catherine’s of Siena, St. Mary’s High School and Catholic Middle School. Her athletic ability was demonstrated in her avid interest in bowling and golf. She enjoyed many happy times as a member of The Milbrook Club. But she was equally skilled at artistic and intellectual activities like painting and Bridge. She was also a grand prize winner on a national TV game show, Top Dollar. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 2017. She leaves behind her children Norine, Thomas and Mia, and Mia’s husband Alex J. Martinez. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Bella Martinez, Frankie Fatta and Tommy Fatta as well as her sister, Dr. Barbara Devine De Fina (Vincent De Fina) and her brother John Devine (Maureen Devine) and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Staff in the Intensive Care Unit at Greenwich Hospital and the Staff at Nathaniel Witherell, most especially Amelita. We will be forever grateful for her love and devotion to our Mom. Also, much appreciation to Dr. Nazanine Khairkhah for her compassionate care and support. Marge’s long battle with serious illnesses was a testament to her courage and spirit. She cherished life and lived for her family, friends and faith. To honor her life, family and friends will gather on Friday, August 25th from 5 pm -7 pm at Bosak Funeral Home 453 Shippan Ave, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 26th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave, Riverside, CT. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
