Marion H. Jablonski

Marion Jablonski was born July 19, 1932 to Mary (Kushubar) and Paul Holko. She passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. Marion grew up in Stamford, CT and graduated from Mother of God Academy. She worked at various places in Stamford including Dorr Oliver, Yale and Towne (everybody worked there at one point), The Arthur Murray School of Dance, The Stamford Advocate and St. Benedict’s Church. It was at The Arthur Murray School of Dance where she met the love of her life, Jack Jablonski. Teachers and students were not allowed to date, but after a little while Marion confessed to her boss that she was dating Jack. Marion left the dancing school, she and Jack got married, and Marion became a stay-at-home wife and mother. She loved to cook, entertain and try out new recipes, which Jack loved too. As a couple, Jack and Marion loved the Poconos, the Catskills and New England. Marion’s favorite part of vacations and long weekends was the enjoyment she felt from spending time with Jack and their daughter, Bennie, and their many nieces, nephews, and friends. Later in life, Marion also worked at the Stamford Marriott gift shop when the hotel first opened, she even waited on the artist, Meatloaf. She loved working at Nielson’s Florist and eventually her husband’s business, Keenan, Russell & Moore Opticians. She loved decorating the store windows and helping in the office. Marion loved creating arts & crafts and made many wreaths to display and give away. Marion and her friend even created an Advent calendar for dogs and cats called ‘Dog Days of Christmas’ and sold them to pet stores in the area for a few years. Marion was also very active in her community volunteering where she could. She was very involved with her church, the American Red Cross and, of course, chaperoned her daughter’s school dances, class trips and Girl Scout outings. Marion’s husband, Jack, and brothers, Joseph, John and Paul Holko and sisters, Margaret Munko and Helen Stratoudakis, predeceased her. Marion is survived by her daughter, Bennie Jablonski, and many nieces and nephews. Marion and Jack were married for 66 years and are most likely kicking up their heals dancing with their family and friends in heaven. They loved to go out dancing and would still be dancing today if the right song was on the radio. Family welcomes relatives and friends for a visitation on Tuesday, July 7th from 4pm to 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8th at 10am at St. Benedict Church, St. Benedict Circle, Stamford, CT, followed by burial at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, CT.
