Vitalherne Sidne

On Friday, April 3, 2020, Vitalherne Sidne, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 91. Vitalherne was born on September 28, 1928 in Au Cayes, Haiti to Menssou Sidne and Therese Pierre-Louis. He was a chief farmer and community leader for 65 years in Au Cayes. On September 7, 1958. he married his beautiful wife, Therese. They raised one son, Denis, and two daughters, Fleurizane and Nahomie. Vitalherne had a great passion for agriculture. He loved his soil and he loved producing healthy, nutrient-rich produce with minimal impact on the environment. He taught others how to farm and be prosperous at it. He also loved to listen Christian Worship music, and he combined his two favorite hobbies to create extraordinary living. His agricultural skills were much admired not only by friends and family, but also by all who frequented the province he lived in most of his life. He was also an avid dominoes lover. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Vitalherne was preceded in death by his father, Menssou, and his mother, Therese. He is survived by his wife Therese, his three children, Denis, Fleurizane, Nahomie, his brother Saul Sidne, three sisters, daughter-in-law Wiline, son-in-laws Emmanuel and Pierre, several cousins, nieces, nephew (Jonah), five grandchildren (Ismery, Kimberly, Cindy, Denson, and Denell), one great grandchild. Due to current CDC Federal guidelines in keeping with public safety standards, the family is holding a Private Visitation and Prayer Service on Thursday, April 9th at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford. His Prayer Service will be celebrated by Rev. Larry Milus, from Tabernacle of Praise, a webcast of the service will be live streamed at 11am, for family, relatives and friends to be able to take part in his service.
