Donald M. Kranyak, 80, a resident of Fallston, MD and longtime resident of Stamford, CT passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. He is the son of the late Michael and Mary Kostezak Kranyak. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had worked with the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years. He was devoted to his family, was a sports enthusiast and loved boating and carpentry. Donald is survived by his wife of 38 years, Theresa Russo Kranyak; son, Michael Frate, of Norwalk, CT; daughter, Debbie Requa and husband, Bob, of Bel Air, MD; brother, Michael Kranyak of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Alison and Amanda Requa; nieces, Melanie Arfman and Christine Castle, and nephews, Michael and Stephen Kranyak. The Kranyak family will receive the sympathy and condolences of friends and family on the morning of Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. Following visitation, a procession will leave the funeral home for an 11;30 a.m. funeral service at St. Mary's Holy Assumption Russian Orthodox Church, 141 Den Road, Stamford, CT 06903. The service will be celebrated by Father Vladimir Horoszczak.
