James "Jimmy" F. Bruno

James “Jimmy” F. Bruno, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2020. He was born on May 24, 1939 in the Bronx, New York to the late Frank and Alice (DiJulio) Bruno. He resided in Stamford, CT with his wife, Denise. Jimmy spent over 60 years in the construction industry. He started as a carpenter, to owning his construction consulting business. Some of his largest accomplishments include: Columbia Avery Fisher Hall, St. Luke’s Hospital, Westchester Airport, and Trump Towers in White Plains and Stamford. Jimmy was a passionate fisherman, spending his summers in Montauk. Not only did he love his boat, he loved his ’57 Oldsmobile, winning countless trophies, bringing him pride and joy. Jimmy had a real sense of adventure, and great sense of humor, bringing laughs to everyone he encountered. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Denise (Groneman); his sons Dr. Paul and wife Dr. Natasha Lake, and Dr. James Bruno and wife Dr. Debby Galloway; six granddaughters, Marina, Kyla, Rayna, Gianna, Adriana, and Naylah; two brothers, Robert and Peter; a sister Virginia Ciccone; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank. Jimmy had many friends and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Jimmy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday November 7th from 2pm to 3pm with a memorial service celebrated at 3pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. His burial will be private.
