Konstantinos Glekas Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Konstantinos George Glekas, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 7,2021 at Milford Hospital. He was born June 24,1943 in Pellana, Sparti, Greece. He was the son of the late George and Vasiliki Glekas. Known to all as “Dino” when he walked into a room his infectious laugh and cackle would put a smile on everyone’s face. He prided himself to be Greek, to be Spartan, and above all to be from Pellana. His most loving priority were his grandchildren they always came first. He married Katerina on September 19, 1975 and together ventured off to America to start their new life where they built a house, a home and a family in Stamford Connecticut for 46 years. He loved his garden, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, having a lamb roast, and having a coffee on the porch with his lifelong best friend Barba Georgi Psichopaidas. He will be forever be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to meet such an amazing strong man. He is predeceased by his beloved sisters Diamanto Glekas and Tasia Patrianakos. Konstantinos is survived by his wife Ekaterini Glekas and his three daughters he loved so much, Vasiliki and Konstandinos Voidaros, Anastasia and Angelo Mendez and Diamanto Glekas. He leaves behind his grandchildren who he loved immeasurably Konstandina, Aikaterina, Dimitri, Elisavet and Angelo Jr. Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5pm - 8pm, with Trisagion Prayer chanted at 6:30pm, at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT. Interment will be held private.
