Maria Perez, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Georgia. She was 77. She was born October 23, 1944, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Mercedes Rivera. She spent her early years in Puerto Rico, before moving to New Jersey and New York, spending time with her brothers and sisters before getting married. She moved to Stamford, CT to raise her twin sons, Ricardo and Wilfredo, with her husband, the late Wilfredo Perez, and spent many memorable years there. She moved to Twin City, Georgia in 2011 together with her mother, where she spent the rest of her life. She was light-hearted and easygoing, and welcomed friendship. Maria is survived by her son, Wilfredo Perez Jr of Stamford, CT, daughter-in-law Yvonne, and grandchildren Gabriel and Isabel. She is also survived by many other family members and friends. We miss and love you forever. The family welcomes relatives and friends for a wake on Monday, June 20th from 4 pm to 8 pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, June 21st at St Benedict, Our Lady of Montserrat Parish, 1 St. Benedict Circle, in Stamford. Her interment is to follow at Queen of Peace, in Stamford, CT.
