Muriel Rudd

Muriel Rudd, a longtime resident of Stamford and Norwalk, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on the evening of Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She was born in West Virginia on May 22, 1924 and was the youngest of four daughters born to the late Patty Cross. Muriel was 93 years old at the time of her passing. Muriel was a beloved wife and loving mother who found true happiness in caring and doing for others. She was an excellent homemaker after many years of working at General Re-Insurance in (Greenwich & Stamford), and was a talented seamstress. More than anything else she treasured time spent with her family. Muriel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, William Rudd, in March of 2010 and is survived by her children; Joseph Rudd and his wife Maura, Gregory Rudd and his wife Carolyn, Robert Rudd, daughter Nona Rudd, Ronald Rudd and his wife Verita, her four granddaughters: Patrice Sayaphet and her husband Adrian, Jasmine Rudd, Robin Rudd and Andrea Blackwell and her husband George, and five great grandchildren; Andre, Adria, Jaslyn, Gaylord and Jayden. Muriel’s family will be receiving the sympathy and condolences of friends and family on Sunday, February 18th from 3pm to 7pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, February 19th at 9:30am at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851. The interment will immediately follow mass at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place in Stamford. The family has entrusted Muriel’s final arrangements to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT.
