Ramona T Black

Ramona T. Black, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2014, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cove City, NC on January 27, 1938, to the late Robert Williams, Sr. and the late Marie Hargett Williams. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Hernandez Black; four daughters, Andreyah Black, Cheryl Black, Almetra Murdock and Kisha Black; a brother, Dr. Robert Williams, Jr. and sister, Joyce Williams; six grandchildren, DeVoria Black, Chaynna Little, Devin Coleman, Angel, Ariell and Janese Murdock; three great-grandchildren, Amir, Austin and Aiden and a host of nieces, nephews. Ramona served as an educator in the Stamford Public School system and obtained her Masters of Education from Sacred Heart and Masters of Education Administration from Fairfield University. She also obtained her Masters of Divinity from the New York Theological Seminary in the area of Pastoral Care and served as a Chaplain at Norwalk Hospital. A funeral service will celebrated on Saturday, May 24th at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, 2475 Easton Turnpike, in Fairfield, CT. Interment will be held private.
