Sandra ("Sandy") L. Brown, beloved wife of Alfred S. Brown, Jr., passed away at Stamford Hospital on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. A longtime resident of Stamford, CT, Sandy was born in New Rochelle, NY and grew up in New Rochelle and Pelham, NY. She was one of six children born to Lawrence & Edna (Martin) Robillard. She graduated from New Rochelle High School and moved to Stamford in the 1970s. During her long career in the medical field, she worked for St. Joseph's Hospital as a nurse's aide, worked for Drs. Mallozzi and Messina, and more recently worked for a home health care agency in Norwalk, CT for 24 years. Sandy enjoyed water exercise at the Tully Center, and was very creative with various craft projects. She was known for her beautiful and clever homemade greeting cards. She was a faithful member of St. Cecilia's Parish, and a good friend to anyone who needed assistance. She was a true friend to many, and loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Alfred S. Brown, Jr. She is also survived by her five sisters: Cecilia Longhi, Florence Mulcahy, Theresa LaScala, Mary Pontillo and Debra Green, and their spouses and children; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and three sisters-in-law: Edna Hayter, Judith Vadeboncoeur & Linda Cannella, and their spouses and families. Interment will be private, and Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 will handle the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sandy's honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
