Life Legacy Sarah Ann (Hosea) Wells, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, peacefully passed away at Stamford Hospital on Saturday, November 12, 2016 with her family at her side. Sarah was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on July 10, 1949 and was one of eight children born to the late Joe Luther and Frances Ophelia (Hamilton) Hosea. Sarah was 67 years old at the time of her passing.Sarah enjoyed spending time with her family and reading the bible. She was devoted to both her immediate family and her church family. Sarah took delight in quoting easily missed one-liners from movies, which showed her sense of humor. This was something not known by most, but a fun "game" that she shared with her daughters. She was known to be extremely organized, prompt and to the point; her "yes was yes" and her "no was no". Everyone was important to Sarah and she received the love back from those who knew her, as demonstrated by the outpouring of love and admiration from many.In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by two sisters; Betty Ann Latham and Angel Toye Brayboy and a brother, Joe Albert Hosea. Sarah is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joe Donald Wells of Stamford; two daughters; Kimberly Renae Wells of McDonough, GA and Latoya Shavon Wells-Zeigler (Anthony) of Charlotte, NC; her twin sister Mary Ann Stephens (Carlisle) of Bridgeport; two sisters, Mary Frances Peele (Louis) of Williamston, NC and Betty Joe Maharaj of Norwalk and her brother William Hosea (Annie) of Tuscaloosa, AL, as well as three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. Sarah will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.The family will be receiving the condolences of friends and family on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. The interment will immediately follow the service at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien, CT.
