Anthony V Megale

Anthony "Tony" Megale, age 61, longtime resident of Stamford, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy on August 1, 1953 and was one of two children born to the late Martino and Rose (Baressi) Megale. Tony was a loving husband and father, and a loyal friend. He loved going to his in-law's home and spending quality time with his family, and was happiest hanging out with his kids, his nieces and his kid's friends. He just loved watching them grow and being a part of their lives. His family truly meant everything to him. Nothing made him happier than caring for them and being with them. An example of his caring nature was his Sunday morning routine of going to Costco for whatever the family needed that week. He'd call and check in with the family before making the trip so he'd be sure that he took care of everyone's needs. He was a fan of many local youth sport teams and was supportive in many ways over the years. He especially loved watching his kids play and attended their events every chance he could. Tony was a good man who will be sadly missed by his family, his friends and all those who knew and loved him. Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years; Rhonda (Rybnick) Megale, his children; Lauren, Michael and Nicole Megale, and his sister, Josephine Vitti, and her husband Anthony. He is also survived by his in-laws; Joanne and Robert Rybnick, Sr., sister and brother-in-law; Lisa and Robert Rybnick, Jr., nephew, Anthony Vitti, Jr., nieces; Michelle Compo, and husband Reed, and Jacquelyn and Gyllian Rybnick and great-niece, Ava Compo. Friends and relatives may express their sympathy to the Megale family on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 2pm to 6 pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 27th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. The committal service and interment will immediately follow at Queen of Peace R.C. Cemetery in Stamford.
