Danuta Roginski

On Tuesday afternoon, November 2, 2021 Danuta Roginski peacefully passed away from this world and into the Lord’s grace. She gave us 75 years to share with her and we are grateful for them all. She was born in Kielbaski, Poland and is one of three children of Franciszek and Janina (nee Swiderska) Typa who immigrated to Elk, Poland after World War II. Born June 2, 1946, she was a graduate of culinary school in Poland and pursued a career as a chef from an early age. Her cooking skills and inherent talents allowed her to successfully run both a restaurant and train station eatery. Her passion for food was obvious to all who knew her and it filled her with joy to share her creations. She married Tadeusz Roginski in 1969 and was a devoted mother to her two children, Mark Roginski and Agnes Collini (nee Roginski) and her husband Adam Collini. Family was the center of her life and she immigrated to the United States in 1979 to pursue a better life for them. Although she retired from the home care industry, where her dedication was greatly appreciated, her true passions were gardening and spending time with friends and family. She loved chatting with her friends and spending time in the garden with them, where her green thumb was obvious to everyone. She is predeceased by her beloved parents, brother Richard, her husband Tadeusz and daughter-in-law Laura (nee Verhoef) Roginski. She is survived by her two children, devoted sister Jadwiga, grandson Maarten, her sister-in-law Aldona, nephew Robert, his wife Anna and their children Victoria and Patrick as well as her nephew Walter. She will be fondly remembered by many family members and friends in Poland and here in Connecticut. She was greatly loved and will be much missed by us all. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday November 18, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT.
