Isabelle Legal passed away suddenly at Stamford Hospital on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Born in La Vallee de Jacmel, Haiti to Nicolas and Ginite Jean Louis on March 14, 1974, she was 44 years young. Isabelle attended school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She relocated to Stamford in October 1999. After learning the language, she was able to work at various jobs. In 2002, Isabelle returned to Haiti to marry her long-time love, Samuel. They made their home in Stamford and raised their three beautiful children: Edwin (10), Owen (7) and Rosashly (3). Isabelle worked at Wells Fargo Bank for over 13 years where she made many lasting friendships. Isabelle had a very strong faith in God and was a dedicated member of Grace Evangelical Alliance Church in Stamford, CT. She was a member of the Women’s Missionary Group and Women’s Choir at GEAC. She worked with the young members teaching them music and scripture. Isabelle was kind-hearted, gentle and loving - not only with her family but with people she came across. She was a “Rock” for the family ready to help out in any way. She greeted you always with a beautiful smile. She was a great homemaker. She enjoyed the company of her family; she would spend her free time with her siblings and sisters-in-law. Isabelle would drive her aunt to church on Sundays and have dinners at her home after service. She enjoyed taking pictures of herself and her children. Many selfies would be sent to family members. Isabelle will truly be missed. Along with her husband and children, she leaves behind her father, Nicolas Jean Louis, her siblings Manasse (Josette), Nicolas Jr., Estelle (Christophe), Ruth (Adam), John (Marie Ange), Schadrac and Sandy, and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. In addition, she leaves behind her aunts, Jeanitte Jean-Louis (Haiti) her husband Gesner--Isabelle’s beloved Godfather, Antonine Lauture (Stamford), Anitte Desir (Virginia). Her mother-in-law Monique Nozier. Many cousins and in-laws both here and in Haiti. Isabelle was predeceased by her mother, Ginite. Although she was taken away from us too soon--we are fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunity to have had her in our lives even for such a short time. We know, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Rest in Peace. Isabelle you are forever in our hearts. The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of her life on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Visitation will be from 9am to 9:50am with a funeral service to commence at 10am at the Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT. Her interment will follow at the Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, 230 Oaklawn Ave, in Stamford, CT.
