Janina Kryszczynska

Janina (Jasia) Kryszczynska, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in Stamford, CT on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 75. She was born on a farm in Chrzanowo, Poland on January 19, 1947 to Antoni and Marianna (Wieczorek) Zajac. In 1964, she married her neighbor and the love of her life, Stanislaw. In 1981, with her four children, she came to the United States and reunited with her husband in Stamford, CT. They lived the American dream and she was very proud of all her children and grandchildren. Janina was a friend to all that she met. She loved to garden and was known for the plants she would grow from seed. She loved to cook and host large family gatherings. Her pierogies, Polish meatballs, potato pancakes, and delicious cheesecake were the best! She always loved bargains and was extremely generous. Her home is filled with many pictures of loved family and friends. Janina is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Stanislaw; a brother Kazimierz Zajac of Chrzanowo, Poland; her sisters, Alina Zelepien and Teresa Mieczkwska of Lomza, Poland and Miczyslaw Zajac of Stamford, CT; her children, Krzysztof Kryszczynski and wife Ewa of Stamford, CT, Joseph Kryszczynski and wife Boguslawa of Trumbull, CT; Alicja Raczkowski of Trumbull, CT and Adam Kryszczynski and wife Aimee of Metairie, LA. “Babcia” will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Mathew, Luke and James Kryszczynski, Joey Kryszczynski, Marysia Brzozowska, Krystian and Izabela Raczkowski, Samantha Kryszczynska and Emily who adopted her as a grandmother. Janina is predeceased by parents Antoni and Marianna Zajac. The family will receive relatives and friends, Sunday, July 31st from 4 pm to 8 pm at Bosak Funeral Home at 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford, CT.
