Patricia Helen Hubbard

Patricia Helen Hubbard, nee O’Brien, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 2, 2017 with her family by her side. She was 87 years old. Patricia was born June 17, 1929, in Rye, NY, and was one of five children born to the late John and Helen (Manning) O’Brien. Patricia married Lloyd when she was 19. They built their lives together in Cos Cob, CT; raised a family and enjoyed their community. She worked as a legal secretary locally then managed the cafeteria at Westchester Medical College. Patricia was an active member of St. Catherine’s Church in Riverside and retired from Cos Cob Library about four years ago. She loved to spend warm afternoons on the deck reading one of many books or tending to her garden. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going out for lunch, baking with them or sharing a cup of tea and conversation. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd I. Hubbard, Jr., and is survived by her children; Patricia Brandenhoff and John Hubbard (Lisa), eight grandchildren; Tanya Rama, Kristel Andersen (Casey), John Brandenhoff (Vicki), Cindy Rousell (David), Jason Hubbard, Lindsey O’Grady (Ryan), Bryan Hubbard and Justin Hubbard, fifteen great grandchildren, her sisters; Mary Liska and Kathleen Squires, and her brother, Dennis O’Brien. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was predeceased by her children, Timothy Hubbard and Cheryl Roberti, and her brother, Gerald O’Brien. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, CT 06878. The interment will immediately follow mass at St. Mary R.C. Cemetery, 399 North Street, in Greenwich, CT.
