Ralph R. Bocuzzo

Ralph R. Bocuzzo, 86 year old, lifelong resident of Stamford passed away at his home on the morning of Tuesday, November 3, 2015. He was born in Stamford on March 21, 1929 and was one of two sons born to the late Sandy and Carmella (Sileo) Bocuzzo. Ralph was born and raised in Stamford and a graduate of Stamford High School. After graduation he joined the US Army and was deployed overseas to serve during the Korean Conflict. He was a decorated soldier and very proud of his service to his country. He returned home to Stamford to his wife Yolanda and he started his business and a family. Ralph was the owner/operator of Post Road Electrical Supply for over 60 years where he enjoyed working with his sons until his retirement. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member of the Stamford Rotary Club. He was a very active man who was an accomplished bowler, a great ball room dancer, and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and anything having to do with nature and animals. Ralph will be sadly missed by his family and by all those who knew and loved him. Ralph is survived by his two sons; Sandy Bocuzzo and wife Marie and Ralph Bocuzzo, Jr. and wife Josephine, his daughter; Roseann DeLuca and husband Robert, 10 grandchildren; Gina (Cliff), Sandy, Tricia, Ralph (Kim), Jason, Matthew (Melanie) and Alexander and 4 great grandchildren; Dino, Gianna, Devon and Kristina. In addition to his parents Ralph is predeceased by his beloved wife, Yolanda (Samela) Bocuzzo, and his brother, William Bocuzzo. Family and friends may offer their sympathy and condolences to Ralph’s family on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 4pm to 8 pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on the morning of Friday, November 6th at 11 am at St. Cecilia R.C. Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, in Stamford. The committal service and interment will immediately follow mass at St. John Cemetery in Darien.
