Zdzislaw Pruszko

Zdzislaw "Ziggy" Pruszko, a beloved father, grandfather, and devoted man of faith, passed away on June 7, 2026, at his home in Stamford, CT. Born on November 7, 1950, in Poland, he was the son of the late Waclaw Pruszko and the late Marianna Kotynska. Zdzislaw grew up in Poland before making the brave decision to immigrate to the United States in 1973, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future for himself and his family. He settled in the Stamford area, where he would build a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and deep faith. Zdzislaw spent his entire career with Pitney Bowes, dedicating himself to his work with the same steadfast commitment he brought to every aspect of his life. Zdzislaw was a loving father and grandfather whose warmth and care left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was married to his beloved wife, Jadwiga Pruszko, for 32 years before her passing. Their partnership was the foundation upon which he built a close and loving family. Above all, Zdzislaw was a man of profound Catholic faith. He was a committed parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church, where his devotion was central to who he was. Zdzislaw is survived by his sons, Marek Pruszko and Lester Pruszko; his sisters, Halina Strzechocka and Wieslawa Karwowska; his daughter-in-law, Bozena Pruszko; his grandchildren, Alex Pruszko, Nicole Pruszko, and Paula Pruszko; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to his wife, Jadwiga, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tadeusz Pruszko; his father, Waclaw Pruszko; his mother, Marianna Kotynska; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Agostino and Lucy Scicchitano. The family invites those who knew and loved Zdzislaw to hold him in their hearts and prayers. May his faithful soul find eternal peace in the presence of God he served so devotedly throughout his life. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 13th, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 325 Washington Boulevard, Stamford, CT. Interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
