Community Public Announcement - March 20, 2020
To all our families in the Stamford Community,
On March 16, Governor Lamont signed an executive order that prohibited large gatherings to a capacity of 50 people. As you are likely aware this prohibition applies to funerals and wakes. Following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines, our family business at the Bosak Funeral Home and Cremation will be online to livestream services in the very near future. We will also be accommodating our families by continuously having Private Wake Services and Prayer Services with clergy of all faiths at our funeral home on Shippan Avenue. We are working with our local clergy to stand together in honoring our loved ones that have passed away; while keeping the families we serve protected from any transmission of the COVID-19 (CoronaVirus).
Furthermore, as your local State of Connecticut Commissioner for Embalmers and Funeral Directors representative, my office has been instructed to place any updates from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health on our website at www.bosakfuneralhome.com/covid-19 . We will also be working with our local officials at the Stamford Public Safety and Health Department and Stamford Police Department and Emergency Services to communicate clear and accurate information to our community.
On a personal note, as a business leader, friend and family member, I have always seen the very best of our community rise to any and all moments of challenge. The Bosak Family has always supported generations of our local families and community in times of uncertainty for over 100 years. Our family’s commitment to service since 1919 will continue to be deeply rooted in our community.
