Please let me know if I can help guide your family through the preplanning process to minimize any unnecessary worries or expenditures.

Personal Choice
Preplanning provides you with the time needed to make practical, detailed decisions that reflect your standards, lifestyle, taste and budget.

Peace of Mind
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to plan in advance for their own funeral including the monument. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress.

Lower Costs
Ensuring that the necessary funds are set aside helps to relieve yourself of unnecessary future worry and your survivors of any unexpected expenses.

There are various styles of monument choices that can be designed for your loved ones and we will guide you through the process to ensure the quality and significance are captured in the most meaningful way.

While monuments can be made of various stone options, they are generally made of granite offered in various color choices. We offer all traditional monument styles as well as the ability to customize a unique shape giving you the opportunity to create an everlasting tribute that feels most appropriate to you.

We select only the highest grade and quality granite products and a staff of professionals to design, inscribe, and install unique and personalized monuments. Our selection process is made simple by the use of detailed catalogs, computer generated sketches and on location cemetery appointments scheduled at your convenience. All of our products and workmanship come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Personalized Memorials

Personalized Memorials

The following configurations serve as a starting place and most can either be designed for a single grave plot or family plots that have two graves or more:

Upright Monuments
typically include a vertical top portion known as the tablet or die which are mounted on a horizontal piece referred to as the base.

Flush Markers
can either be made in granite or bronze, lie flat and are level to the ground.

Hickey Markers
can be straight or beveled which are like the flush marker with the exception that these are thicker and sit above the ground. If beveled, it includes a flat surface with a slight bevel from front to back.

Slant Markers
look triangular from the side, are slanted and sit above the ground. These can be designed with or without bases.

Specialty Monuments
can be designed in the shapes of rugged rock, hearts, shamrocks, crosses, benches and other custom shapes as well as crypts and mausoleums.

Symbols of Love & Respect

Symbols of Love & Respect

Choosing an inscription for your loved one’s monument may be difficult. For as long as people have lived, inscriptions have been engraved on monuments. The practice may differ between cultures, religions and countries however, the reason is the same – to honor the deceased.

Selecting the quote that’s best for your loved one’s memorial is not easy because it is often limited to space and it remains for eternity. Inscriptions typically include the person’s name, date of birth and date of death of the grave it marks. The memorial will also often include a personalized piece of text such as a family message or short phrase, while others place quotations from poems, Bible verses, prayers, their favorite books or movies. Some also use quotes that come from the deceased; while others choose quotes that describe the life they lived and left behind.

Not every monument has a quote inscribed on it, but the ones that do, show much love and respect.

In 2001,  Stella is co-owner and manager of Willow Monument Works and Bosak Monuments, as well as, the financial officer of the Bosak Funeral Home.  Over the last seventeen years, she has been an integral part of three start-ups and the re-engineering of two old family businesses. Stella was the recipient of the 2003 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the State of Connecticut, an appointed Commissioner of the Charter Oak Communities (aka Stamford Housing Authority) since 2004 and the Treasurer of three citywide elections for the City of Stamford, Board of Finance races, in 2009 and 2013 and Board of Education race in 2015.

Stella has been a successful small business owner for seventeen years and owes much of her success to her years of hospitality training and experience working for the Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotel companies.  She started working with the Bosak family in 2001 and founded the first of several start-ups, Bosak Monuments, the monument division of the family-owned funeral home, which is focused on the design and creation of cemetery and civic monuments.  In 2002, the family business acquired a monument company (Willow Monument Works) in Bridgeport that had been in existence since 1929.  During this time, Stella focused her efforts streamlining their businesses and as a result, the business shifted their focus to establishing a service model to create a hospitable experience for all the families they serve. Service is now part of the family brand and it is applied throughout all of the family-owned businesses.
